The first an interview on sanctions with France 24 airing over this weekend. I argue that much of what we have done so far is our own propaganda, a pretense rather than a genuinely strong response, not really effective at stopping the horrors unfolding on our screens. Yes a big impact on financial markets and trade but still nothing that really concerns Putin.
The second a 4 minute video on our three choices over Ukraine. My view, getting Putin out of Ukraine requires worldwide passage of legislation banning Russia from the global economic and financial system for the next 20 years. If we do not do something like this, and we also rule out military intervention, then we are effectively doing nothing.
